Calvin Anderson
Calvin Anderson is a 30-year resident of Asbury Park and a native of Pittsburgh, PA. Calvin earned his degree from Point Park University. Early in his life Calvin moved to Jacksonville, FL to work on an aircraft carrier through a government contract. After working several years for the government, Calvin moved to New Jersey to work for an engineering company, earning a special clearance to work on military contracts. Calvin then took a position with the New Jersey Natural Gas Company. Calvin was honored to help the residents of Asbury Park through his work with the gas company, such as installing new gas services. Calvin was proud to retire from the gas company after 31 years. Calvin and his wife Angela raised 5 children, all of them attending Asbury Park Schools. Three of Calvin and Angela’s children are adopted. “Angie and I wanted to provide a loving home and support for the children of Asbury. It was natural process for us to open our home to adopt our three children.” Calvin wants to restore the fiscal responsibility to Asbury Park Schools, the trades and ensure Asbury Park’s children are receiving the education they desire.
