Barbara is a retired science teacher and has been a resident of Asbury Park for over 40 years. She has served on the Board of Education for more than 15 years and has obtained the highest honor as a New Jersey School Board Association Certified Board Leader. Barbara has previously served as a Commissioner and Chair of the Asbury Park Housing Authority. She continued her public service working as a Asbury Park Police dispatcher for over 17 years. Barbara presently serves on the Wesley Lake Commission. She was awarded the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce Carousel Award for Public Service in 2015.  “Asbury Parks residents and most importantly Asbury’s children desire accountability from the District’s professional staff. We need to align our curriculum to serve our students through a new core curriculum mandate. The children of Asbury Park have to be our first concern. We must ensure the children are getting the best education possible.”
