“In the three years I’ve lived in Asbury Park, I’ve made it home. The sense of community here is like nothing I’ve experienced and I believe our schools are the key to keeping Asbury Park on the path to success.”
Stephanie Ackerman
Stephanie Ackerman has been a full-time resident of Asbury Park since 2021 when she moved from Northern New Jersey where she lived since 2009. Prior to embarking on her law career Stephanie spent over a decade working in the non-profit field, first for consumer rights and then as part of the Ford Foundation’s Community and Resource Development group. Stephanie’s dedication and commitment to every endeavor she undertakes is unquestioned and her ability to manage competing demands was honed while she worked full-time in the non-profit field and attended law school in the evening.
A product of the public-school system herself, Stephanie is the first in her family to attend college. Stephanie graduated from Dickinson College and New York Law School.
Stephanie practices state and federal law in New Jersey and New York with a focus on commercial litigation particularly within the financial services industry. Stephanie prides herself on doing everything with professionalism and good humor--even in the most contentious of settings.
During law school Stephanie volunteered her time to low-income individuals seeking reversal of creditor judgments through the Manhattan Civil Legal Advice and Resource Office.
Stephanie also served as a Fellow for the New York City Civil Service Commission.
She continues her commitment to volunteerism by representing clients in pro bono cases in New Jersey.
